1. Overflow weirs, also known as water level control weirs, are generally used for tail water disinfection in sewage treatment plants. The overflow weir has the function of maintaining the liquid layer on the plate and making the liquid overflow evenly. It is generally installed at the outlet of the open channel ultraviolet disinfector and has the function of raising and stabilizing the water level.

2. The overflow weir can be fixed, stainless steel or concrete structure, and the height is slightly lower than the water level to be controlled, so as to ensure that the top row of lamps of the open channel (frame type) ultraviolet disinfector can be completely immersed in the water flow surface, so as to achieve the purpose of effective disinfection and sterilization.

3. The water level control weir can also be adjustable, generally made of stainless steel, divided into two types: float overflow weir and heavy hammer overflow weir. Among them, the float stainless steel overflow weir occupies a small area and adjusts the water level accurately, which is more commonly used.

The water level control weir/stainless steel overflow is often configured to customers together with the open channel ultraviolet disinfector. At the same time, it generally includes: ultraviolet disinfection module, master control cabinet, ballast cabinet, rectifier grid plate, etc. The above configuration needs to be appropriately added or subtracted according to the actual situation, flow rate and water quality on site.
