Flow-through in-line UV sterilizer is a continuous-flow water treatment UV equipment. Water flows continuously through a sealed stainless steel reactor under pipeline pressure. Disinfection is achieved while water flows and receives UV irradiation. It is different from the batch-type submersion UV disinfection in water tanks.
Main Structure
Stainless steel reactor: pressure vessel with flange or quick connectors for water pipeline. Polished inner wall reflects UV light to improve efficiency.
UV lamp & quartz sleeve: UV lamp is housed inside transparent quartz sleeve. The sleeve isolates water and protects the lamp, allowing UVC to pass through and irradiate flowing water.
Ballast & control cabinet: power supply for UV lamps. Some models are equipped with UV intensity monitor and alarm function.
Optional accessories: UV intensity sensor, automatic wiper/chemical cleaning system to prevent scaling.
Working Process
Water is driven by pump and flows continuously into reactor → water passes through UV radiation zone → UVC damages DNA/RNA of microorganisms → disinfected water flows out continuously to downstream pipeline.
It runs online continuously without shutdown, widely used in swimming pool and industrial circulating water systems.
Key Features
Continuous online treatment, suitable for circulating water systems, ideal for swimming pools
Pressure-resistant design, can be directly installed in series on pipelines
performance depends on UV dose, related to flow rate, UV intensity and hydraulic retention time
Physical disinfection, no chemical dosing. Disinfection only takes place inside reactor, no residual disinfection effect.
Turbidity, suspended solids and scaling will significantly reduce UV disinfection efficiency.
Application
Swimming pool water, landscape water, drinking water, reclaimed water, food process water and other circulating pipeline water treatment.
