Matched rated power
The rated power of the ballast must be equal to the UV lamp. Overpowered ballast damages lamps, underpowered ballast burns itself.
Matched operating current
Ballast output rated current shall be consistent with the lamp design current to avoid overcurrent or flickering.
Matched starting voltage
Low-pressure UV lamps match low-voltage ballasts; medium-pressure UV lamps must use dedicated medium-pressure ballasts with high ignition voltage.
