Preheating time of ballast with preheat soft-start function Standard preheating duration: 0.5s ~ 2.0s
Common model: 1.0s (most widely used in UV industry)
Long life optimized model: 1.5~2.0s, fully heat the filament to reduce starting impulse
Short preheating model: 0.3~0.5s, applied for frequent on-off, less protection effect.
Working principle: During preheating period, ballast supplies low current to heat the filaments at both ends of lamp without high voltage ignition. After preheating, high voltage is applied to light up the UV lamp.
