Replacement Test (Most Accurate)
Install a good working lamp on the faulty ballast:
If it lights up → original lamp is damaged
If still no light → ballast is faulty
Install the unlit lamp on a good ballast:
If it lights up → ballast failure
If still no light → lamp failure
2. Visual Inspection
Damaged Lamp Signs
Both ends blackened or yellowed
Burnt or broken filament
Air leakage with white fog inside the tube
Abnormal sound when shaking
Damaged Ballast Signs
No sound and no response after power on
Overheating quickly after power-on
Burnt smell or blackened circuit board
Fault indicator always on
3. Working Phenomenon Judgment
No reaction at all → Mostly ballast fault
Flashes once then off → Mostly aging lamp
Only one end slightly bright → Lamp filament aging
All lamps on the same module not working → Ballast or power supply fault
4. Quick On-site Troubleshooting Steps
Check loose or wrong wiring
Check whether the lamp ends are blackened
Cross-test with a spare lamp
Confirm:
New lamp works → lamp broken
New lamp still not working → ballast broken
