Differences between Low-pressure UV Lamp and Medium-pressure UV Lamp

  • Spectrum
    Low-pressure: Single wavelength 253.7nm.
    Medium-pressure: Broad spectrum 200–400nm.
  • Working temperature
    Low-pressure: 60~95℃.
    Medium-pressure: 800~900℃.
  • Efficiency & lifespan
    Low-pressure: Higher UVC conversion efficiency, service life ≥12000h.
    Medium-pressure: Lower efficiency, service life ≥5000h.
  • Function
    Low-pressure: Only disinfection, prone to photo-reactivation.
    Medium-pressure: Disinfection + TOC removal + chloramine decomposition, inhibits photo-reactivation, compatible with AOP.
  • Ballast reminder
    Low-pressure ballast and medium-pressure ballast are not interchangeable.
  • Application suggestion
    Low-pressure: Pure water, tap water, routine disinfection.
    Medium-pressure: Wastewater, advanced oxidation, deep water treatment.
