What it can remove
Total Organic Carbon (TOC), organic pollutants, bacteria, algae and most microorganisms, thanks to 185nm and 254nm ultraviolet rays.
What it CANNOT remove
Inorganic salts, heavy metals, suspended solids, colloids, ammonia nitrogen and hardness substances. These require pre-treatment devices such as filters, reverse osmosis, ion exchangers or softeners.
