It only removes organic matter, bacteria and algae, and cannot filter inorganic salts, heavy metals, suspended solids or water hardness. Matching pre-treatment equipment is required.
Consumable replacement cost
UV lamps are wearing parts. They gradually lose light intensity over time and need regular replacement, bringing recurring costs.
Affected by water quality and operating conditions
Low water temperature, low UV transmittance, scaling on quartz sleeves or unstable water flow will all reduce the TOC removal efficiency.
Power consumption
Continuous operation leads to certain electricity costs, especially for large-flow units.
Regular maintenance required
Quartz sleeves need periodic cleaning to remove limescale and dirt, otherwise UV penetration will be blocked.
