Inlet water quality
Excessively high TOC, complex organic compounds and high turbidity in raw water will reduce removal efficiency.
UV lamp condition
Lamp power attenuation, aging, scaling and insufficient light intensity are the main causes of performance degradation.
Water flow rate & retention time
Too fast flow shortens UV exposure time and causes incomplete oxidation. Stable flow ensures better performance.
Water temperature
Low temperature reduces UV oxidation efficiency; high temperature accelerates lamp aging.
Chamber cleanliness
Scaling, biofilm and impurities on inner wall block ultraviolet rays and weaken TOC degradation.
UV wavelength
Only 185 nm short‑wave UV works for TOC removal; 254 nm UV is only for sterilization.
System pressure stability
Pressure fluctuation and turbulent flow lead to uneven UV exposure and lower overall removal rate.
