The UV/TiO₂ advanced oxidation technology (AOT equipment) for swimming pool water disinfection and sterilization is a UV sterilizer specifically designed for swimming pool water systems. It operates within a temperature range of 4~70℃. Its working principle involves using a special UV lamp to irradiate a nano-titanium dioxide coating, which generates hydroxyl radicals. These radicals can break down bacteria, viruses, and organic microorganisms in the water—particularly effective in thoroughly eliminating stubborn colonies like Legionella.

AOT equipment disinfection principle

Hydroxyl radical generation

Uses photocatalytic advanced oxidation: a specific UV source excites the photocatalyst to produce highly oxidizing hydroxyl radicals.

 Complete oxidation to CO₂ and H₂O

Radicals destroy cell membranes and tissues, decomposing bacteria, viruses, microorganisms, and organics into CO₂ and H₂O—preventing revival or reproduction for thorough purification.

1. Mature and leading titanium dioxide coating sintering production technology

The coating technology of Guanyu AOT equipment is jointly developed with the Ecological and Environmental Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and has many invention patents. The core of AOT equipment is nano titanium dioxide coating. The quality of the coating directly determines the amount of hydroxyl radicals produced, which directly determines the sterilization and disinfection effect of the equipment. Guanyu's unique titanium dioxide coating sintering technology makes the coating not easy to fall off, the amount of hydroxyl radicals produced is large, and the sterilization and disinfection is more thorough.


2. Small diameter, multi-channel design

Hydroxy radicals have a short life span of only a few seconds, and their life span is even lower in hot water environments. The maximum moving distance is only a few centimeters. Therefore, Guanyu equipment adopts a small diameter and multi-channel design to maximize the use of hydroxyl radicals; at the same time, the design of this equipment structure increases the contact area between ultraviolet rays and nano iron oxide, greatly increasing the amount of hydroxyl radicals produced.


3. Compact equipment structure, skid-mounted installation

The skid-mounted equipment has less workload when installed on site, and only needs to complete the connection of interface pipes and external electrical connections to work. Since its functional components are integrated into an integral base, it can be easily moved as a whole to adapt to different usage scenarios.
